Student Mentor Training

Since private school students have no experience as teachers, we will train, mentor, and provide ample resources to effectively teach them CEFR-based English competencies. Our eLearning platform is intuitive and self-guiding, so lessons can be conducted by novice teachers.

Definition and Learning Objectives
At the end of Student Mentor Training, participants will be able to:
  • Manage the class/students and keep them engaged productively.
  • Teach in blended mode using the Learning Management System including group activities and administer tests.
  • CEFR-based English competencies and its structure and framework/curriculum.
  • Competent in the Pedagogy (Gagne’s Nine Events of instruction) to deliver training effectively

The training can happen in 3 phases:

  1. Self-study: Review eContent, ideally in groups. 2-3 hours
  2. 1-hour orientation
  3. Shadow experienced teachers for 1-2 sessions, then teach alongside teachers for 1-2 sessions.
  4. Mentors will be able to teach independently by session 3-4.
